Up for sale is a very nice, uncommon 35mm steel Longines 12.68z with an original Suiza signed copper-ish colored dial. Suiza signature indicates delivery to South America, which is reinforced by the archive info that states the watch was delivered to Uruguay (which is also where I purchased it from) in December 1943. Please see below for more info, and don’t hesitate to message with questions.

Dial: Original, non refinished dial is in nice condition. The dial originally came in this unique copper-ish color, and as mentioned above, the Suiza signed dial is unique and indicates delivery to South America (see extract info below). The dial has developed some light spotting. Features nice blued steel hands.

Case: Original, unpolished 35mm stainless steel case is in nice overall condition but does have some pitting near the caseback.

Crown: The original crown is missing a washer and was replaced with a gasket - here’s the story on that. The gasket is still in place and seems to be a good fix; I’ve had no issues and wouldn’t be surprised if the gasket is a better solution given improved waterproofing.

Movement: Original 12.68z movement was fully serviced by my watchmaker in August 2022 and comes with a 1yr service warranty.

Crystal: Crystal is free of scratches.

Strap: Comes on the 17mm DeBeer leather strap pictured.

Price is $1600 (dropped from $2250) shipped globally. Bank transfer/Wise (or similar) for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.

The 1945 Heritage is probably the closest, but I haven’t seen anything with this unique copper or salmon dial color (yet)..

Gorgeous watch. Our Uruguayan members should be all over this! 😉
