Evening all So a bunch of us got together at the weekend for a photoshoot for a special little project thats on the boil at the moment, we all brought our cars/ bikes and I brought my entire watch collection, thought I would share a few of the snaps with you, hidden in these pics is one of my rarest watches and one I don't think anyone will have seen outside of the museum A great day and a chance to indulge my two favourite past times, vintage Omegas and my Porsche
LOL, I know I couldn't resist.......... nope not the ploprof (although it is a lovely one and my first 'big' vintage Omega purchase years ago)
I knew it, 'cause it's the only one you hide. Is it just the dial or the case as well? The right hand ploprof is quite rare too, I understand.
Its the case but you would never know from the pics and the dial and overall the watch in itself but most people would bat an eye lid at it and just assume it was a 'normal' version................
Indeed it is an E - Type, and a nice one at that, kindly lent to us for the day for the shoot, it as good underneath at it is on top (4.2 BTW)
Series 1 1965 with an early 4.2 engine.........Same power / acceleration as the 3.8, but far better torque ( less gear change ) There is nothing, quite like looking down the bonnet, of a eType from the drivers seat. Beautiful
