I'm usually pretty sure about these scripts, but this one (not great pictures..) had me baffled.. The O In AutOmatic is very strange too..

I wondered if it was a later incarnation of the 168.029 (late 60's) with a more modernised script? Or just a redial.











The seller says it came from his father and was never redone.. But has had a replacement crown.. I'm a bit on the fence.. Dubious to wether at the same time it was refinished.

It could well be perfectly OK, Alex, the problem is the seller's photos are so poor that you just can't tell . . .

Alex, if he wants to sell his watch he'll send you good pictures...regardless of how many it takes!

 

I know, I always feel like they're trying to hide things when they don't want to do clear pictures. It's not that hard to point and shoot a camera!!? Anyway, I'm moving on now.. Bit pricey for such risk!
