I'm nowhere near expert, but two observations (after looking at the 2915s on Speedmaster 101 http://speedmaster101.com/2915-2/ ). The bezel looks wrong. The numbers should be much closer to the outside. The examples of these on 101 show the top curve of the S in Speedmaster almost directly under the O of Omega.
Well, 2915-1 casebacks didn't feature a seahorse, so even if everything else was passable as genuine (which it very much is not) that would still be a red flag.
Ash - the lume on the subdial hands rings a bell. This may indeed be that 2915 from New York for $6500ish.
2915-1's do indeed have a seahorse, but the engraving on this one is well off. The dial looks like a modern service replacement that's been aged. Bezel very suspect. The list goes on........
I am no expert, but own several speedys, bezel is wrong ("C" and dashes), dial is wrong (right sub dial), caseback speedmaster lettering wrong, hands probably wrong( lume size) and probably a lot more. I also concur Lima Peru.
The llama has re-appeared! Ebay Link.Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network But now the pictures are a different shade?
Seller in Peru… and only 9!transactions in the last month…. No other history in the past year with a total of 12.
The guy carefully photoshopped the watches over a table backdrop. Love how his hands magically change from listing to listing...
