    yup, I have a 1960 2990 with a 268 confirmed by archive extract.

I’ve seen some people call them “seachero” (even here I think).

But the Seachero has Ranchero Indices.

We have the Ranchero, the Seachero, maybe the Mastero?

But these 2 examples don't look like they are in the 2990/2996 cases, so the only connection they have is the arrow hand.
Perhaps they can be called Trilogy companions?

Also, if you look at the ad,
    [IMG]

the 2990/2996 Seamasters had a slightly different shaped applied logo. Anyone know if there are any ads, catalogues, pics, or maybe a NOS watch that show 2990/2996 cased Seamasters with the "normal", narrower applied or printed Omega logo?

@Bumper great watch and great box just not the same make but that's OK.

Interesting arrow hands on the old ad, maybe there some other examples in AJTT or perhaps on old-omegas.com

You're right the bottom image is a ref 2937, but the top is a 2990

    Not so sure about that

These advertisement renderings often took liberties but looks the same to me.

What the reference 2937 does show is gold indices and hands.

We really need @pitpro 's expertise on these.

I've always heard them called Seamaster Ranchero's
    Here's a 2290 1958 Seamaster I had with dress Explorer style
    dial and applied logo. 267
    mine1.jpg

They also came with Ranchero style dial:

Here's an ad from probably 1958

Ha, ha that's the point i was trying to make - that most of the 2990/2996 cased Seamasters came with this more rounded style of logo. I'm just wondering if these were factory done, or if they were done by the AD? So far, the evidence suggests that the Swedish AD had the dials changed. ( if so, is there a cache of original Ranchero dials sitting somewhere just waiting to be discovered?) The German ad is interesting as it shows the same style logo...
    There's more about them here;

@Rman, you're saying this is a 2990 case? The bezel & lugs don't look like it. Do you have pics of the back?

No I was referring to the gold plated example (8750)at the top of the ad.

As to your point about the logo, why would you doubt Omega commissioned those dials?
    The Rancheros weren't selling.
