Hi All,

While this isn’t a Universal Genève it seems appropriate to post it here, a Jaeger with a UG cal 287 movement in a 37mm stainless case. Thanks @LouS for your assistance in authenticating it. Just a quick pic for now:

Very nice! 👍

Funny to see how many different brands used this exact type of numerals for their dials - here is my Eterna in a smaller case.

Oh my I'd forgotten about this one? Did I say dibs already? if not Dibs !!! (take your time though.....)
More generally it's interesting to see the styling and dial designs go across brands at any given period.
They were largely all copying each other, or following the same Zeitgeist.
Only rare models or design features stand out as unique to a particular brand.

Congrats to OP, sorry for thread drift !

It would be interesting to see if these dials were made by the same manufacturer. I've seen the same dials with UG too and, I believe, Zenith as well.

Even if not the same, my impression is that there weren't so many dial manufacturers in the 1930s /1940s.
I can only think of 3 but that's an area I've been wanting to explore more.
Will post that query in a separate thread.

I was wondering this also, but wasn't sure if HJ made steel cases for UG and if so how to identify them conclusively without their hammer mark

Here’s my UG version of the “same” dial. Though the moon on this Tri seems to have “eclipsed” the 12....😀

Yes, really amazing to see all the different brands using the same dial design. And yours is a beauty!

On my wrist now!

It has a lovely cream or even eggshell color on this picture.
