This was a spring arrival for me, but only posting now, was wondering if there was much interest in vintage Seiko or Citizen divers here.

This one is dated around 1978/79, bought it as it was NOS, even had sticker on the caseback.

I saw that one for sale – congrats!

There is plenty of interest in vintage Seiko and Citizen divers, and I would add Orient to the mix. I have several uncommon versions, to go along with a 62MAS.

Lovely watch, do you have the bracelet too?
You are lucky, it is the better dial configure of the 2 variants. Be careful for the mineral crystal it is as soft as acrylic.

Some, not all of course, of the NOS stuff found on Ebay or other sites are stuff left over and jewelry stores that went out of business. Awhile back I found the West End watch company site had a single NOS 1990's Sowar they had found in their back room and they were offering it at half the original MSRP. A pretty good deal that I had to pass up because I'd already commited to buying a 1980's NOS Crosman air pistol from the leftover stock of a gunshop that had closed down because the owner went blind. It had been in a display only counter since new.

Other old stock deals to look for are dummy display watches from old jewelry store display counters.
These have not movements, only empty cases with dials , crystals, bands and hands. Perfect for restoration parts.

No telling how my NOS Pobeda survived the fall of the Soviet Union and decades sealed in its original factory delivery box.

Only bad thing about an NOS find is fear of putting the slightest mark on it.

Yes, the lume is incredible after 40 years, shines like a trooper! Glad to have found good company here. On recent trip to Hong Kong was on the look out for a Seiko 6159 or 6215, found one for big money, also had already bought a couple of IWC's that caught my eye!;)

No, unfortunately no bracelet, is your bracelet original to watch? Were they offered at point of sale?
