    Sums him up perfectly:

    "After the explosion, the men escaped into neighbouring Sweden by skiing 320km (200 miles) across Telemark - despite being chased by some 3,000 German soldiers." With a wry smile, Ronneberg described it as "the best skiing weekend I ever had".

    A true war hero.
    I watched a documentary on these guys where today's elite soldiers re-enacted the movements of these guys and what they went through. Even with modern equipment and a diet of thousands of calories a day it was very tough, and that was without hiding from Germany patrols and the fear of being caught.
