it doesn't matter how long you do this, there are time when you fail to properly inspect a watch; when you're rushed; trying to do two deals at once and you have to pay your tax.

It doesn't matter that this one wasn't expensive. It doesn't matter that I won't lose money on it. What matters is that I'm annoyed with myself for making the mistake.

Pictures are useless without threads and all that so, here's my mistake (lousy point and press phone potatoes):

Cheer me up, guys, and show me your mistakes!

I have been very fortunate with my buying and selling. This F300 is the only poor decision I have made so far. I did not notice that some of the second indices are missing around the 1 and the 3. Time keeping was initially good and now sporadic. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhh

    Here's a clue:

(and if you can't make it out, a bigger clue are the words "hong" and "kong")

Just a glass of wine with dinner but I must have been hung over or sleep deprived not to have seen the re-casing of that movement.

On the plus side .... anyone need a 263 movement? There's a nice dial. The hands have been relumed, but could easily be fixed, though the seconds is wrong.

Should one press "like"? That's not the right sentiment. More like "I feel your pain" or something along those lines.

This falls into that category of...should I keep it as a reminder, or just recuperate losses?

Someone must have wanted it to be recased, even if only for profit...

Early one I enjoyed for some time...yes something is up with it :p

Cross hatched crown is wrong; missing bezel ... do I need to go get my glasses out of the car?

You know what, guys? I'm keeping this one ... and I'm going to wear it. Regularly. As a reminder not to be so damn complacent.

For future reference if you are chasing these. Sala page and my watch. They are well worth the pursuit IMO. There is a nice one at Secondtimeticking.com.

Lovely watch, Larry. What's annoying is that I'll have original sales brochure photos in a couple of my reference books. What's doubly annoying is that I could have taken two minutes to remove the caseback and seen for myself. But, I was rushed, saw the dial, the numerals, the hands (and forgave the lume), saw the sharp edges and just decided that I'd have it.

I'll take a look at the website you suggested later in the week.

    And mine.
Fell in love with the case, my second purchase. Could the OMEGA font be any worse?
At least it's gold, I won't lose money, just confidence.
