I usually have a pretty good experience with eBay but I just had a guy win an auction for one of my Connies and proceed to send me this message:

    "Can you cancel it
Because my credit card over budget
    Sorry inconvenience!"

Seriously WTF? Wouldn't you check that first? Having never experienced this I'm curious if anyone's had a similar case and how they they resolved it - Second chance offer, relist, raise a complaint?

    Cheers.

I wouldn't worry about it, at least the guy didn't keep it for a couple of weeks and then decide to send it back. You could try a second chance offer if the price is ok for you. There's no point in complaining to the buyer, just make sure you get all of the final value fees refunded from eBay

    +1

I guess this is getting more and more common, as higher the prices on vintage watches gets. Second thoughts and remorse gets into play. Nothing to become especially upset about, it´s a more of a fact of life

Get a FVR, block the "buyer", make second chance offer if appropriate (will usually not work), relist. Hope for better luck next time

You actually can't leave negative feedback as a seller. The only options are positive or no feedback.

You can set standards on bidders and buyers through ebay. Example the buyer must have no unpaid item strikes and have atleast say 10 positive transactions. It doesnt always work though.

It'll only get worse through the holiday season. I'd rather someone tell me that can't pay sooner rather than later.
