I heard that a good ice-breaker is to walk into an AD or Boutique slap your hand firmly on the display case and say "look your watches are way over priced."

better stil instead of slaping you hand on the display case flop your willy on to it, asking them to put two hands and a face on it and then use your hand to grab the sales assistant's arse!....that oughta get a reaction from her, him or whatever the fυck they identify themselves with!

I get it, you came here to vent. All the articles online are telling us Rolex should be easier to get, but it has done little to bump my needle of skepticism.

You are one of a vast number of potential customers that have been trying to get your hands on one and a dealer doesn't know you from Adam. Sucks, but it's the way it is (still).

If it were me, I'd register my interest at as many as I could physically go find and then spend my time and money grabbing other watches that you like to scratch the itch.

I've got no magic technique for you to get what you want, but don't let frustration consume you.
