You need exceptionally large wrists to pull that off in a PO. Looks great though!

I recommend them a lot for older pieces 34-36 mm.

It looks good but for me not on the PO. The case back of my PO sinks into the back of wrist making the watch sit a few mm shorter. With the flat leather on the back of the case you would certainly feel the full 16mm thickness and then some. This is why I stopped wearing mine on a nato as well. It just made an already tall watch just too tall.

I was concerned about the height myself, modern POs are certainly pushing the height limits without any help. But somehow it doesn’t exaserbate it at all, maybe even looks smaller than with the bracelet on my wrist. But have to admit it’s a fairly flimsy strap I found on Amazon, so I think a nicer hand crafted one would probably be a lot bulkier and might require a bigger dude to pull it off.

Mostly I was referring to the rarity of these straps in general. Surprised they’re not more ubiquitous.

They have their place but not on a modern sport watch.

Yours is particularly old timey tho. As far as the style I have, I just see it as a 70s throwback vibe that goes well with a large diameter casual watch. However in searching for one online I did find that they’re also known as military or aviator straps which to me connotes activewear if not sportswear. I suppose for some it goes further back to some Germanic lederhosen/ cuckoo clock aesthetic, which then yeah, a P.O. would look odd to you.

They can make an already big watch even bigger, which is why I don’t use them on my 1550SG. But I do appreciate them.

I'm with you brother! I'm a huge fan of the Bund strap but I must agree with Larry S...IMO, they look somewhat clumsy on a large, modern sports watch. IMG_0488.JPG IMG_0489.JPG

It's an early 40s flyback Luftwaffe issued chrono...

I know ;) just never seen a non Tutima version. Tutima still makes that watch.

But it is a Tutima...the reissue bears the full name beneath the logo as opposed to the original. Only Tutima and Hanhart supplied the Luftwaffe with these chronos. Hanhart was also revived and produces reissues
