just this freshly reworked ST168.0034 Seamaster Chronometer, fresh back from STS.

All the proper finishes back where they should be.

Yikes.

Looks great! Wasn't too bad before though. Did they replace the internal rubber bumpers? Does you watch still have the original caseback spring?

Wow, looks like new, now. 馃憤 Looks gorgeous in that picture, but as that Ref. looks so much better in the flesh, it might be a real stunner.

It was hard to catch in photos, but the top and the sides had been pretty badly scuffed using some sort of abrasive material, incredibly unattractive, and so glad they could put it back to how it's meant to be.

Yes to the rubber bumpers - Simon told be all about them when he opened it up "mouse poop" or something similar I think he said they're referred to as!

Not sure on the spring... given its freshly sealed I'm not too keen to open it up!

Edit: just found pre service pictures... no sign of a caseback spring (not that I know quite what I'm looking for...)

So those goop piles held up the innards then. 馃槈 Did the dial or crown feel loose before or now? Is a spring listed as a replaced part? This spring is often lost and hard to find replacement for, so it's good that they still have spares.

Nothing is loose... nothing moving... have emailed Simon to ask if something is missing that should be there. 馃榾

See what you're talking about though

Still trying to find that thread (and a few others) when you posted... There should be something in there holding things up for sure 馃榾

I think I have 6 of the rubber poops... maybe that's the fix if the spring is no longer available?

Nothing is moving, the dial is level and flush?

I'll see what Simon says on Monday... curiosity has the better of me! 馃榾

I have... no spring... looks like maybe 6 of the rubber things... bigger than the ones that came out from the look of it.

Hmm, that could be a good fix. Any pics?

Also: does it have two-piece or one-piece crown stem?

Ahh I put the back on, and it's in the safe now.

Not sure on the stem tbh... a bit too technical for me 馃槈
