Visited my local AD to get a good sense of the size difference between the new and older model. Was able to get a 15% on the outgoing model but he wouldn't budge on the newest one. He had at least two blues on SS in the store. Anybody else experienced this as well?

I'm still on the fence between the two models. Would prefer the smaller size but at the same time appreciate the future proof aspect of the newer model. The new HV cap didn't really bother me as much. The new blue color is definitely a shade lighter and plays with the light a lot more. Stunning watch. Would have pulled the trigger but just can't overcome the idea of paying retail.

I have the outgoing model and the 2531. I picked up the 2018 blue one on bracelet in December for 4K from my AD. They knocked $850 off without me even asking.

As far as how it wears, I love it. My smpc hasn’t been worn since I grabbed this one.

I was at an AD located on the Las Vegas strip and managed to get a discount on a new one a couple weeks back, which as you know is a very high-traffic area. They're trying to milk as much as they can from you before the Seamaster stock catches up with demand. Find a different AD.

I guess an answer to the OPs question is about where you are.
So yes, I got a discount on a new seamaster 1 month ago. Local AD in Kent, UK gave me £400 off.

The cheapest I've seen in Europe is €3449 on the bracelet.

Ya I'm in the US as well. I really wanted to keep the money local but I guess I'll look elsewhere .

Well, I meant high traffic in an area where there are high rollers, so there is no need to discount. On the strip, you won't find a discounted Rolex, even if it's the hardest model to sell ever

Are you a regular customer hence the discount? I'm wondering if I should just cold call them and see if I can get the same deal..

I’ve bought 3 omegas and a sub from them in the past. But all of my friends that shop there get discounts, even first time buyers. Really cool place. It’s called Radcliffe Jewelers.

Great thanks, I will try and contact them. Still can't believe my AD was being so stubborn plus my state doesn't have sales tax.
