A Ninja of Slight Disappointment visited my letterbox today, but as it was rather warm (46 degrees C) I left work early and got home in time to hit the Post Office!

    Threeeeee Squirrels!!!

First, my new VOH screwdrivers from France (the quality is mind boggling )

Next, a real NOS Rotary Automatic from Hyderabad, India. The dial is amazing, more pics later.

And number three, a lovely little vintage Roamer manual from about 1960, all the way from Queensland :D

I know it's a bit of a splurge, but I'm due for a "Significant Life Event" at the end of this month so I thought "What the fuck, you only live once!"

However, the Ninjas weren't to be outdone. The day after I ordered my screwdrivers, my bloody surgeon presented my with a bill for 6K :(

My watch hunting season is over for the short term, but never mind, I'll feed voraciously off my fellow Forumites and their purchases :D

    Cheers

    Jim

VOH, it does not get any better than when you can combine watches with tools. OK maybe you could be drinking a beer as you stare at them, but still droool.gif

Congrats - the VOH are the best IMO. People talk about Bergeron - well they have no idea until they use a set of VOH screwdrivers...

Bit busy this weekend, heading down to the mates beach house tonight but will post pics of the Rotary when I get back.
Might even do a review of the VOH screwdrivers if anyone is interested.

    Cheers

Wish it was both, unfortunately it's an op, and when you see the word 'radical' in anything medical you know you're going to get a big bill

    Cheers

He is getting a third arm, so he can wear an extra watch! Awesome idea.

But seriously, hope it goes well.

    That's a beauty, congrats.

Just discovered my doorbell is broken, so the ninja almost got away today. I heard the tell-tale growl of the under-muffled postal jeep, snatched the package notice off the front door, jumped in my car and intercepted him 5 doors down the street. Told him do NOT bring your weak-ass ninja-of-disappointment shit into my dojo. He seemed puzzled but handed over the watch. ::psy::

What does a set of VOH screwdrivers go for? They don't seem to be abundantly available on the web.

You can also order direct from VOH in Switzerland if you like.

    http://www.voh.ch/eng/

I placed a rather large order with them a few months ago for replacement blades (steel, HSS, and copper beryllium) and a movement holder, and probably the best hand levers I have ever used. You would have to pay by wire transfer if you go direct.

    Cheers, Al
