The oldest watch - Bijouterie of Berne had its beginnings in the 19th Century in Biel, where Louis Renard, who later became partner of the founder ran a watch shop. In 1917, he opened together with Georges Nicklès under the name "Renard & Nicklès" a costume jewelry in Breitenrain- quarters in Berne, the Georges Nicklès took over in 1922, under the name "Nickles" further led. In 1938 he moved the business to the Kornhausplatz. His son Roland built the business into a leading company for watches and jewelery, and merged it in 1989, the jewelry "trend Bijou" on.
