There will be a nice Mil SM300 auctioned at Bonhams on 13/Sep/2016. Obviously the hands had been relumed sometimes in the past and the hour hand is a little misaligned, probably just loose. Otherwise a nice watch. http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23509/lot/203/ The caseback engravings look also authentic, although not shown at the auction. Checked a couple of older pictures of that watch.
Looks ok from the single photo shown. I cannot tell from the photo if the hands have been re-lumed, care to share the "older pictures" you have?
@ watchlovr: no need to share, Bonhams added further images of caseback, movement, etc... still no difference to the older pictures I have.
MUCH better photos, agree on the minute hand relume, looks good otherwise. Price? Any guesses? I'll not be guessing this time, it will however be very interesting to see what it makes. Not as rare imo as the £69k example, not w10, not a small T dial, with a re-lumed hand and broken insert.
£50k inc. fee... The highest seen for a 0552 with fat T... Wasnt that the price level for Rolex Milsubs a few years ago?? 68 brother is
Wow, Looks like the £69k was not a fluke then. Your '69 looks great, had one myself, wish I'd kept it! My 0552 '70
