The one major drawback IMO of this specific one is the bezel. I have been eyeing these for a while and the bakelite bezels are a must have for me.
No, I don't think so. I think this type of bezel is acceptable for this reference. It's just that it also came with different kinds, which @bloomy prefers, like these: (borrowed from @t_chrobar on IG)
Can't get enough divers eh @sdre? It is a nice looking watch...less common to fake than the dual crown compressor.
It isn't "wrong" I just find it to be less desirable, as per my taste. I think that one you listed is a solid watch, it just comes down to which specific features you want and in this case, the bezel makes a large difference in my opinion.

The black aluminium bezel on the watch for sale is definitely correct. I think it will have case reference 869116/02. I have no connection with the seller but it looks relatively good value to me. It appears to be entirely original and the crystal with the correct loupe looks to be in good condition, which is important as it is almost impossible to find a replacement. I think the versions with bakelite bezels and flat crowns came slightly later.
