With the correct clasp, that bracelet would worth as much as (or more than) the watch, IMO. Unfortunately, the clasp won't be cheap.
There's no reason to use an over-priced Omega leather strap. You can get a great one for less than $100, and an acceptable strap for $20.
A genuine, vintage Omega beads of rice is about £180. Ref 1503, 1037 or 8220 with 70 or 570 Endlinks.
To repair the genuine flat link bracelet that’s on it will cost several hundred as you’d need to source a correct clasp, then have it fitted/fixed.
A genuine vintage Omega buckle is probably £30-50, plus say £20-200 for a generic strap.
Personally, I’d get a generic leather while I spend the time and effort to have the flat link bracelet repaired. Another option would be to sell the flat link as-is for parts and use the money to buy a genuine beads of rice.
B BazmanI wondered if this bracelet would fit
B BazmanNo the original was flatlink. I am looking at pictures and when my Dad had it it was the same as the pics of flatlink. It was from the 60s or very early 70s. I wondered if this bracelet would fit or is it fake?
