My Brand New Seamaster 300 in Blue. I already own a Tag so this is a step up. Purchased from the Boutique in Costa Mesa, CA. Love the watch. Any recommendations on its care?

Welcome to the club. I have the same model. Personally I use a soft toothbrush and soapy water to clean it. once a month. Just like omega suggested.
Before I put on or after I remove it from my wrist I clean it with the pouch what was in the box. The clasp will get scratched but that is unavoidable if you are a desk diver like myself.

    Enjoy your watch!

    Welcome on board. Nice watch.
My recommendation is you wear it and enjoy it without worrying too much about it. Every scratch, ding and mark will tell its own story in the years to come and it will be a constant silent companion to all your travels and adventures.

By the way if you stay around here for long it will not be your last purchase of a watch so beware you are entering the rabbit hole :)

Congrats on the new purchase. I was just at that store looking at some watches.

Just use the cloth that came. Avoid buffing by jewelers as they will screw up the finish on the Watch and the bracelet.

Welcome to the Club! I've got the same Seamaster as you. Excellent choice ;-)
Wear it with joy - and don't care about scratches that it will get over time. That's called patina...

Congrats. I picked up the same model last December and quickly sold my black smpc. I clean all of my watches with Wristclean spray. After using soap for years, it seems to cause less residue with less rinsing with a better shine. Long story short, it’ll get dings, just keep it clean

Congratulations. If I was in the market for a new Seamaster this would be my choice too.

Congrats on the new SMP. I’ve had mine for a month or so, and it rarely leaves my wrist. My one piece of advice to the ham-handed interested in making their own bracelet adjustments is to invest in an LED/magnifier headset. What a difference to be able to actuallly the tiny screws!

When you've done your own sizing have you reapplied the loctite?

Screws have loctite on them. I know some folks reapply when they remove screws.

I have never used loctite, and I have never lost a screw after multiple alterations. Don’t worry about this. Nice watch BTW, I have the previous model and it’s a keeper in my collection

First scratch hurts the most. After that, memorise each one as your watch lives your life with you.

Just a bit of warm soapy water each month or so to keep dirt out of the bracelet pins to reduce wear and stretch.

Wash in water after sea use.
