I'm hoping to resize a 1173 bracelet myself by removing some links.

I'm still pretty new at this so I've only dealt with screws and solid pins.

There aren't nice helper arrows like a contemporary bracelet. By feel it seems like there are spring bars pins inside each link not a solid pin. So I figure using a pin tool and hammer is the wrong thing to do here.

The videos I'm finding online show adjusting a spring bar joined bracelet where the spring bars can be accessed through the back of the bracelet not via pins.

I have tools but I'm looking for some guidance before I butcher something.

Thank you for any online resource pointers or tips.

It can have both screws and springbars? Depending how old it is? Give it a solid clean first . If u have a ultrasonic bath it would be great . But nevertheless clean first .That makes it easier to remove the pins or screws. If it's a springbar as you say just press with a small object that is long enough and twist a little. Much trickier to put back then remove?
