Hello, This is my first time buying my first luxury watch, and I found this Omega Seamaster on eBay. Is this Seamaster real? From the pictures it looks new and I noticed the back side there is a blue dot. I thought usually the dot should be like dark red color? and is this a good price? Thanks for all the help. eBay item number: 252402889806 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Seama...889806?hash=item3ac462744e:g:UGoAAOSwUUdXDymiPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Yes, very weird. I wonder if the AD miswritten on the warranty card. I'm waiting for the seller to reply back to me.
The serial number traces it back to a 2008 production year, going by the card the watch first sold in 2010, as the seller mentions. Serial numbers on the watch match the cards. This model has a red dot on the caseback when sold new. When the watch is serviced by Omega the red dot is removed and a blue dot applied. You may want to ask seller if it has been serviced and do ask for proof of service. It looks like a genuine Seamaster to me. In good condition. Seller has low feedback count.
Just FYI - paint dots are no longer applied on new watches or after service. That was discontinued some time ago. Cheers, Al
