(Newbie) Missed out on this beautiful dial, and I can't find any similar pieces, any help?

Hi everyone, pretty new here, but recently fell into the rabbit hole of vintage pieces. Recently saw this vintage seamaster on eBay, and I completely missed the chance to bid on it due to work šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø.

Absolutely kicking myself over it, and I'm obsessing over this dial. I really wanted this piece, and since I missed out I've been trying to find more info/something similar.

I haven't been able to find anything remotely similar in color, any insight?

Look for: very sloppy redial….
I'm completely out of my element here, was it repainted/frankened together? Darn would make sense why I couldn't find a dial similar in color...

It’s a fantasy redial which means no original Omega from this period had a dial in that colour design. It was probably a rusted wreck a few months ago and it’s been polished up, (likely) crudely serviced and had a fantasy repaint of the dial to get it where it is now.
It’s a hard pass from a collector standpoint. Obviously this may not be a major issue for you, you may be happy with this but you may struggle
To find another as no original Omega looked like this

However, if you really want a green, redialled Omega, search 'vintage Omega' on eBay and in filters tick 'green dial colour'.

There are currently 62 available

Look at the applied hour markers and how pitted they are. I’ll wager the movement looks incredibly tired and this watch was worn out before it had a quick spruce up to make it look good at ten paces

The dial fits perfectly with the structure of the bracelet: twice buckskin.

I like it too, OP. You should not expect it to hold value, and these sellers often ask way too much money for these redials, but shoot, if you like it, get it! Normally they have the real movement, so they are good performers. If I was on a beach just bumming around, I'd love to be wearing this watch.

I call these rat watches (like a rusty rat rod.) I self service them which save a bit, but the cost is often more than they are worth. Does give them some character.

I call it a ā€œMumbai Specialā€. A lot of these unnatural color dialed watches tend to be put together in India.

Tis a Mumbai monster alright.
Try asking the seller if he can include a set of the crayons he used to refashion the dial, or if he's eaten them all.
