Newbie here, can anyone please help me find a good deal on this watch? Or at least guide me in the right direction?

I saw this specific watch years ago and I saved the image. I stupidly forgot to make a note of the reference number and I can’t seem to find it even with using the Internet. I am hoping to find the same model in a reasonable original condition. What does this model typically go for?

I’ve never purchased a vintage watch before and I know the general advice is to do a lot of research and ask questions so I am starting to do that today and I look forward to your responses. Thank you

Gbesq is correct, you can also try Omega 2491/1. I have one with both references stamped.

When you get to where you have found one, check in here again. The forum is quite generous in trying to steer people away from a bad purchase.

And welcome!

Beautiful example above! Looks like you have a reference to start your search. Be aware that watches of this era have radium lume, which remains radioactive but considered safe under the crystal, but some collectors avoid radium for that reason. Lots of threads discussing this issue here. Im not saying to avoid these, I have several in my collection, but just be aware of the issue. Most manufacturers including Omega switched over to tritium around 1962.
Good luck on your hunt.
