Newbie: Considering a Unicompax With Fixed Lug Mod

Hello,

Im new here but long time UG fan. I'm considering a Uni Compax with an old modification to the lugs. The seller says this appears to be an old mod. Kinda a bummer to me but I love the dial and have been looking for a dial config with minimal graphics and patina for a while and the price is in my budget. Curious the groups thought on a mod like this? I am assuming this is affecting the value/price. My watch repair guy here in Los Angeles says he could drill these out but I haven't spoken to him about this at length.

The watch is legit and a rare reference. I think a competent watchmaker can fix this

Whats the case reference and serial?
Looks like a cool watch but on the small side?

Its a small watch 33mm. All my research (Im a novice but trying to learn as much as possible) also seems its a bit on the rare side. 972617 22273 are the numbers I see but waiting on more pics.

Yeah this seems to be the thinking and research I have been compiling. Man I wish I had found this group years ago 😀

No clue. How would I find that info? Just been asking around with other UG folks from Insta and such

Why not just use a fixed bar strap and enjoy it?

Yep exactly. but I want to know what Im getting into as well so just trying to understand all the angles
