I'm searching for a nice daily wearer. Saw this nice Automatic on Etsy. The seller claims the dial is original. Unfortunately the pictures are a bit small and dark. I would like your opinions. Here's one of the pictures. Michel
Dial looks original, and is a correct style for the case. The crown, however, is a later replacement.
There is a nice one for sale here only listed a while back from a well trusted seller https://omegaforums.net/threads/9ct-omega-dennison-cased.32602/#post-367967
Yeah, What is it with Etsy? Is there a ban on movement pictures? Even sellers on eBay that routinely show movements don't on when they sell Etsy...
Thanks for the tips. I asked the seller for extra pictures. The watch that Standy referred to is indeed nice but I want gather opinions on the other watch.
Here's a similar one on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-1940s-...432306?hash=item25b16bf532:g:02IAAOSw9r1V70bQPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Although it states the dial is original, the experts her can confirm. It doesn't have roman numerals but other than that, it's almost identical.
Nice watch indeed on ebay. I actually prefer the cool art-deco numerals. There seems to be more patina than the Etsy watch though the latter's pictures make it difficult to say. Curiously, the ebay listing says "Manual wind movement signed OMEGA cal.28.10 RA SC PC", maybe it's a copy/paste from another listing.
All three watches look pretty nice. $1,000 for a steel Omega bumper seems extremely expensive to me. These should be more like half that, no more than $600, IMO. Not a big fan of 9K cases, but for the same price, it is certainly a better buy. gatorcpa
