    A little over a year later, I sold it for $15,000 to pay for the birth of my son and associated expenses. I miss the watch but would make the trade again any day.

    A nice bump for the forum.

    I guess this means we should expect more new members coming in and posting random watches and asking if they are real! I know a lizard and a Longhorn fan that will be pleased with that. Time to sharpen the pitchforks guys!

    The lizard is currently basking in the Spanish sun, trying to work out a way to remain here, rather than returning to London, and work. ;)

    You may note that my pitchfork has been swapped for a cake fork, which is used to gently poke those who ask silly questions, into asking sensible ones. :D

    And that's a fantastic nod from Eric and the NYT. :cool:

    Sent the article to my girlfriend and as she knows that I am planning on selling my Compur to finance our wedding (I'm not expecting 15 000$), the first question she asked is "will you say, « I miss the watch but I would do that trade again? »" and the second comment was "lots of publicity for your forum".
