Mine is to spend about the same amount of money on vintage omegas in 2013 but to reduce volume purchased by ~50-75% and increase price spent per piece by ~300-500%. That's not to say I will overpay of course!
I want to slow down and buy pieces which are not necessarily quality or uncommon pieces, but those which are in good condition. But easier said than done.
I'm always shocked at what I'm prepared to pay over and above what the watch is really worth :-/ So, be more patient, find a wider range of examples if possible. My aim is to downsize a little..starting with watches that don't have the same appeal, even though I know appeal changes from day to day! Find my Constellation grails..Even if I have to sacrifice a few others along the way...It's all part of the ride...
Mine is to buy less frivolous pieces and concentrate more on the watches I've long desired to own. It will mean more paring down to upgrade. Also want to add to the ultra-thin and Longines collection before the prices go through the roof.
If am able to convice Steve to flip his IWC C89 and sell to me, I'l be a happy camper the rest of the year.....
Get rid of some of the ballast in my collection - the pieces that I got in my earlier collecting years that now no longer make the grade in quality, interest, visual appeal, whatever.
Looks like I am already in violation of my own resolution - the year is young and already have 3 purchases!
At least my self justification is they are all pieces that I don't have yet and one in particular I have been trying to get for a few years but haven't found one to my liking combining condition and price and this one just falls into my lap. Well you know how it goes...
I just broke my vintage resolution already. Just bought a brand new 1863 Speedmaster instead of buying a vintage one ..........but at least now I have a new one, I'm now able to concentrate on buying vintage in 2013
I am currently traveling in NZ, and have seven watches waiting for me at home that I haven't even seen in person yet! Thankfully, that tends to keep the appetite suppressed for the time being.

I actually got to try a double signed Omega/Tissot one on Saturday. Super cool watch, but I think I'm crossing it off my list for now.
