A few pictures to start off as promised. Full story of the really enjoyable handover will follow. Safe to say, I have had a great day!
Thanks all, was a very pleasurable purchase. The price was pre-agreed and very competitive. Steve, who I had agreed the price with, fetched the watch from the safe for me to check over. It was fine. Whilst he was sizing the bracelet for me the store owner, Rob, came out to say hi and spotted my Sub. Immediately he brought out a bunch of vintage Subs, giving us a great family line from the 50s through to me 2011 example. He also showed me a double red Sea Dweller he had. We chatted watches for a while, as well as pens (he had some fantastic examples) and I got to handle georgeous gold Vacheron Constantin moonphase watch. The highlight though was a gold Patek, with Arabic writing on it. A watch which was commissioned by Saddam Hussein! We had a great chat. It was a pleasure buying from someone who clearly loves watches. The guys couldn't have been more relaxed or welcoming. got a few freebies thrown in too; Omega mints, Omega lanyard, Omega magazine and a valuation certificate for my new watch. The shop was C S Bedford in Ruislip. Highly, highly recommended!
A fantastic watch, I am really pleased for you. I own the same, of a different reference. It's always a pleasure to wear such a beauty.
Welcome to the moon club. Other watch might come and go, but at least one moon watch should be in the collection.
Three months on for mine, new also and still my daily wearer. Is yours a 7777xxxx serial number? Congrats
