Hi,

looks very strange, is there a number on the inner caseback?

Didn't know this reference but after looking at some online pictures it seems legit.

Do an internet search for "111.046" and "Omega" and you will find other examples for comaprison.

Watch is 31mm which is not very attractive size nowadays.

So no great value from a collectors point of view IMO

Totally correct if a bit unusual in the Omega line-up.
It's a dress watch from the early 1960s using the tiny caliber 620 (approx 18mm ø).

Why Omega chose to use this configuration who knows? A shortage of 600 series movements? An over supply of the ladies size movements?

Only the crystal ball can answer that.

Nice dresser anyway.

Thank u that’s what had found but it’s really odd the person who owned it had strange taste plain Jane watch mixed with a high end designer brand band would have loved to hear the story of how it came to be

It may need a service at some stage but that shouldn’t cost much.

You may already be planning to clean the case but if you haven’t already got one, buy a jewellers cloth, remove the strap and give the watch a gentle but thorough rub to accentuate the gold shine.

If you’re keeping the strap, and it looks as though it’s a nice one, get a smear of black shoe polish on a cloth and massage it into the strap before polishing the strap.

The caliber 620/625 was used in among other things the American market reference D 6672 super thin dress watches. These were offered in 14K solid yellow or white gold with a wide array of dials.

Because of it's small diameter thinness it was perfect for dress watches.
