A bit of a cheer up after my troubles with the watch cleaning machine, I got the call on an Ed White! I dropped everything and headed to my boutique and picked it up.

I was afraid it would be too much like my Hesalite 1861, but frankly, they are oddly more different than i had expected, and I suspect I'll wear them both a ton!

Bracelet is super comfy, dial is different enough while still beautiful, and the case is just different enough in the lugs and lack of crown guards to have a unique feel. Also, not my first ceramic bezel, but just different enough to have its own vibe.

Anyway, I'm absolutely thrilled to add this as Speedy #5 to my collection!

Stunning watch! Really cool that the movement is essentially hand assembled as well… pretty unique.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been oogling this one for ages and mentioned it at the OB a few months ago, and was told they'd never gotten one in (a new OB). Thanks to @set and @SpeedyMW2103 's threads this past weekend, I reached out this past weekend to my sales rep. I wasn't expecting anything for a LONG time of course, but while I was on my way from lunch yesterday he texted me that he had one for me!

Apparently (for him as well!) one of those "never hurts to ask" moments 😀

I was offered one last NYE, but passed to hold out for Snoopy, which came just 3 days after I expressed serious interest.

I did the opposite!

I turned down a Snoopy a few months ago (though wasn't holding out for something, just really isn't my jam).

Congrats! Ive been trying to get one at retail for quite awhile. My local boutique won't even put me on their list. Out of curiousity, what boutique did you get it from?

Portland Oregon, but I have a pretty solid purchase history.

Might look around, the Ed Whites are starting to get available lightly-used for sub-MSRP. Heck, there are two on our forum available right now for ~14k!

Even considering import duties (21.6% Netherlands), a 2025 EW from Japan would be 1.1k below current retail of €17.1k.

Congratulations on a 321, and welcome to the Ed White club!

I would not call myself an avid Speedy Collector, but it took me a long while to warm myself up to the Snoopy too, despite being offered multiple times by OB.

The Ed White is different. It was a love at first sight. I love it so much I bought it 2x times. 1 from the Grey market and 1 from OB.

Have a magnificent day!
