[N]o potential nasty scrapes on the lugs while making a change.
You can use a standard spring bar tool and not make scrapes. Me, I don't care so much, but I know others do, and you can still scrape with a quick-release bar.
Just find yourself a clunker, doesn't even have to run, and practice practice practice!
Hi, I’ve learned the hard way, anything over £500 gets electrical tape etc etc but having to do it and find the right forks for the endlinks your playing with. No QR is the way forward and I have never missed or nicked a lug fitting a QR strap.

Hmmm.... that fine line is getting closer and closer IMO
But it's my logo, that's the cool part! Before I did any Omega stuff, I am Uncle Seiko ya know 😉
When you add the line”remind you of anything?” what is one supposed to infer? To me it looks more like the Omega logo than before. Just my opinion. And for what it is worth I am a repeat customer from the Seiko side, no hate for what you do.
