Hello, I'm new to the vintage Omega world but I find myself drawn to many of the vintage Omega's for many reasons. I ran across this watch but don't know the first thing about it. The seller says it is a cal 268.
My advice would be to keep running. Then stop. While catching your breath, start reading this thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/condition-condition-condition-and-other-pieces-of-advice.1716/ Then read all the stickies on the top of this forum: https://omegaforums.net/forums/vintage-omega-watches-help-discussion-and-advice.23/ And this one: https://omegaforums.net/threads/wruw-today.567/ When you're done reading all of that, you'll have a much better idea of what to look for.
and equipped w/a coordinating NATO strap (oh crap! I wrote the copyright term...calling my attorney again)...
Aw shucks @trey03, if you're still reading - don't get upset or anything! Your case is a textbook example of how people get introduced to this hobby, only you did the smart thing and asked for advice BEFORE buying. That's great Hang around, read up on some of the threads and have a look in the sales area. Right now there are no less than TWO great looking "military style" Omegas from the sixties for sale. This is the type of watch nearly all the redialers try to make, but here you could have the real deal
@ConElPueblo, Thank you for the reply. I am absolutely still reading. I certainly wouldn't be upset by any responses. I have a ton to learn and appreciate that I will have many stupid questions along the way. I enjoy hobbies like this because there is so much to study. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk
