Hi everyone,

I'm new here (been lurking for a while). I guess you could call it a mid-life crisis, but in the past few months I've picked up a new Seamaster 300M (blue ceramic) and more recently a Speedy Pro 3861.

The transaction for the Seamaster was excellent at the Atlanta Boutique. They even threw in a bottle of champagne.

The Speedy transaction started off ok---then I was completely surprised. I went with a certified pre-owned Speedy from Tourneau. They shipped the watch but it wasn't secured well inside the blue Tourneau box (see pic).

I reached out to customer service to provide shipping feedback and also asked if they had the METAS certificate card. The next day they indicated they found the box and all the papers (warranty back to 2021). They found the entire kit (unworn velcro, unworn NATO, spare link, spare pins, pin tool, etc). I was really pleased at their customer service.

Anyway, I'm still waiting on my 1998 Seamaster 50th GMT to return from service (Igor). That was my first OMEGA after receiving my first cash bonus as an employee.

Just wanted to say hi and share this experience. Cheers! View attachment 1419984

The box they sent you is great but it's for a Speedy Pro 1861, not for a 3861.
Was about to post that is well, he got more than what he paid for so that's a bonus.

Well, heck--I'll take all of the spare stuff as a gift 馃榾 I really just wanted the METAS card.

Odd that the three cards for the OP's 3861 ended up in a box for an 1861, including a link that had been taken out (assuming it's the correct link for the bracelet). Obviously someone else will not be getting the correct box with his 1861 Speedmaster.

Considering it was preowned, it may also be entirely possible the previous owner had both the 1861 & 3861 and had sold/shipped the watch in the wrong box(?).

Yeah, that's possible. I'm always amazed how relatively new watches get separated from their box and papers.

Welcome. I too recently purchased a blue 300M and am now looking at a speedy purchase sooner than later.

No clue how this happened. The serial numbers on the cards match the watch lug.

Interesting though--the watch shipped from Vegas. The paperwork and box came from NY (corporate).

Interesting. Correct me if I鈥檓 wrong, but the watch and the cards are all shipped separately (in their plastic coffin), from their boxes. Seems like the dealer mistakenly paired them up. All that is to say, I don鈥檛 think the OP should be concerned one bit about the validity of the Metas, warranty, etc.

A 3861 with all the 1861 goodies? Only one thing to say in response to that - Go Dawgs!

Surprised that no one put there hand up and stated that they bought a Speedy Pro 1861 and are missing the accoutrements.
