Hi forum members, First, I would like to thank you for building a truly informative forum. I have been reading for quite a while, and think this is a great community. I have attached a photo of a recent acquisition that, in my opinion, was just pure luck. According to the seller, the original owner was an Airman who bought the watch at a post exchange on his way back from station in Spain at some point in the early 1960's. According to the post, it was worn for a short period, then put in a sock drawer and forgotten about. I believe it. The watch has never been polished and I cant find any real flaws other than the aftermerket bracelet, which will soon be replaced with a shell strap. The thing that gets me is the textured silver dial. While this isnt nearly as rare or interesting as many of your pieces, I figured I would share it. Will have more pics when it comes back from service. Maybe a group shot with my 145.007 and 145.026. Photo credit to my friend Matt Bailly. A professional photographer and professional watch nerd.
Looks fantastic. I would be up for something like that as well. Is it allowed to ask how much you paid for it?
