New to omega

I’ve grown up like so many people loving Rolex. When I was born in Vietnam my dad bought a used one that he carried to this country. When I graduated college he gave it to me. One day I bought my own air king and my dad his watch back. Then when my son was born I bought a submariner Rolex to give my son.

14 years later I got a Tudor, tissot and breitling super ocean. But for over 5 years I wanted a moon watch. I loved the movie 3 idiots where everyone wanted loves the space pen so naturally I would love the watch. Plus my good friend works at nasa.

I was in Switzerland last month and saw the ad. I tried both the versions on. I like the sapphire but could shell out the $6500 they were asking even if it was tax free. Last Sunday I ended up getting the sapphire version for almost 30% off. I go home and sized the band and love it. So pretty. Just wish it came the nato strap. Hopefully it won’t be my last omega 😀

Is that 30% on the new Moonwatch? I didn't know they were discounting them that heavily if at all. Good deal on no doubt one of the most legendary watches of all times!

You can buy any NATO you like on the Omega website or a cheaper one on one of the countless websites that sell straps.

Yeah it was military one day sale. Got it 20% and no tax. If I got the credit card I would have gotten another 10%. That would have been insane. Lol

I was so scared resizing the band. Don’t know why since I’ve done my Rolex and breitling. But my first omega and the watch I’ve been waiting for 10 plus years. I wear Apple Watch daily. Can’t lie, I kept on swiping on my moon watch lol. I really liked the packaging of the older watches but the tech in this watch is why I got it with the sapphire.

so i read the watch has a 44 hr power reserve. i notice that isn't the case. I think i get barely over 30. i did a wind at midnight last night so i can benchmark.. does anyone else notice that?
