    Hi all -

I'm the owner of a new to me Seamaster cal 353 in a 2627 case. It's a real beauty (pics to follow) and I need a sturdy set of springbars for it. I looked around but couldn't find anything that referenced case 2627 specifically.

    Any pointers for a noob?

    Thanks.

    Chris

The springbars are 18mm - no need to get a specific one for the case reference number. The 1.5mm thickness should be sufficient for most straps.

While MSN's advice might be right, I refuse to confirm or deny without photos! ;)

    Kyle's watch. Well done!
I think, and this may be frowned on, you could probably pick up acceptable bars at any high street jeweller or watch store. The bars are the same for a $5000 watch as a $20 Casio. I think. When I last bought new straps, they came with spare spring bars.

You can get over 300 in various sizes (including 18mm) for around $9 shipped.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/340-Pcs-Wat...-14-22-24-26-28mm-Box-Set-0450B-/271013467135Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I don't see the point in paying for a "branded" springbar. Then add in a minimum charge and shipping and it gets a bit ridiculous.

    Hope this helps,

    Hey Chris,
I actually threw in a pair of 18mm bars but any 18mm should work. :)

Hi Kyle - I know and I thank you but one didn't make it - the bar on the 6 o'clock side is broken. No worries, it was likely a shipping incident.

Hmm that's odd, let me know if you want another one and I'll send down another pair.

Thanks. It does seem odd but $hit happens. I picked up a set from Crown and Buckle just now for a whopping $1.

The watch looks fantastic, I love it.
