    Afternoon guys

Just wanted to say hi, i recently purchased my 2201.50 Planet Ocean. Really love it, i had Tag's before and i realised the error of my ways.....i think when i found out the lies behind the 1887 movement i was done! I knew i wanted an Omega i just had to make it happen that bit quicker! Loving it so far, does need a little polish though to really highlight the brushed sides and the polished bevel.

    Matt.

    Welcome Matt!
Throw up an avatar and show us that Planet Ocean! If you are real savvy, you could kill two birds with one stone and put your Seamaster as your avatar

Welcome mate, but Calibre 1887 is a TAG Heuer chronograph movement, if your Planet Ocean has one of those in it... you've got some problems there :)

It already is a hybrid though, the TAG Heuer movement is really a Seiko in drag.

Just purchased my first Omega and joined the group as well! Would love to see some pics of your Planet Ocean. Tell me, what exactly do you find interesting about the 1887 movement? I have no idea what it is but very keen to learn more! Cheers.

Hi buddy, maybe i did not make sense, finding out about the 1887 actually being a seiko at 10+ times the price made me desert tag early. The planet ocean has off course the the 2500 movement :)

One took on the day i got it ^^^^^^ love it, slowly getting the courage to wear it more and more out and about and at work, need to remember they will last a life time and should be worn and appreciated.

Sweet looking watch! I really dig the font of the numbers on the watch face.

2201.50 is a sweet watch. I've got its 45mm big brother in chronometer. Welcome to the forum!

I think 1st gen is where it's at, pre ceramic is a great choice, maybe it will one day pay off to hold onto these rather than go ceramic, although a fine watch that is too! I can't believe how much the white gold hands stand out, I keep thinking do I go older sub and put another 1 or so grand in but you get so much more watch with the planet ocean!

They are also thinner;) the second and third gen watches sit taller on the wrist.
