One of the models that hasn't really been talked about yet, the Dark Side Of The Moon full ceramic black Speedmaster has been extended to include a silver dial, possibly platinum by the looks in the Darkside's standard black ceramic case, but with a slightly more formal alligator strap replacing the utilitarian black cloth with rubber of the original version

Interesting. I'm not sure I like it over the original DSotM

The more I look at it the more I wonder if both the case and strap are actually chocolate instead of black like the original?

I would call this one the light side of the moon.

Yeah....Interesting. Perhaps minute and hour hands could've been red to go with the red lettered Seamaster? Add a bit more ... pizzaz?

Hmm. This is an interesting beast -- brushed bezel, bolder tachymeter, Yacht-Master-esque dial, and leather. I'll have to see it in person, but I think I still like the original better.

Not really a turn on. Definitely original dsotm is better. Even the 45th anni titanium with gray dial is better.

By the way, the dial is definitely platinum -- if you zoom in on the photo, you can see that it says Pt 950 where the [ZrO2] would be on the original.

I'm very intrigued -- I saw the prototype that had a full silver ceramic dial...I prefer this one...but will have to see it.

I like the leather strap much more than the cordura...and the one I saw was indeed grey....but as with all of Omega's grey - there is that brownish tint - like the blue, it must be one of their patented colours..

So far the 45th anni Apollo is still tops for me...but this one could be a contender .. although I would hope that they get this one out long before January 2015... the Darkside held everyone's interest for the whole year...I can't see the anticipation for this one growing as much...

This may be why they're staying quiet about it...maybe they'll make more noise when it is closer to actually being available...

The Omega site has June for the 45th Aollo - October for the others, and no sign of this one on the site....

I agree about the anticipation of the Light Side. With the Dark Side still well out of my price range, it remains as the one I want.

When you mention availability, do you mean in boutiques? Or ADs?

Just keep the love coming OMEGA. So pleased with their new watches. Who else is putting on a show like them?
