Took delivery of this new strap that I thikn will be nice and cool for the summer months. two piece military style cloth strap from coolwatchstraps.com.....I have no affiliation, just for reference if someone likes the strap. Lightweight and comfortable, my only "issue", and it's really not a deal breaker for me, is the buckle seems a bit thin. anyway - here are a few pics:

It really gives a different character to the Speedy. I like the 3rd shot best.

It definitely has a military-issued-to-high-ranking-officers type look to it.

My favorite on the speedy is a leather Rallye style strap with breathing holes in it, sort of like those old Heuer Carrera style racing straps, gives it a real 1960's Le Mans look. There's a professional photograph somewhere of a speedy being worn on a Rallye strap with some similar style leather driving gloves, holding the steering wheel of a vintage Porsche 911 in black and white that really captures that look, and its part of what drew me to the Speedmaster in the first place.

It looks very vintage. I'm really starting to like "cloth" straps lately.
