is there any info known about a new ST? The rep at the Monaco boutique told me there is a new one next month.

 

I've seen this mentioned in a few other threads as well. Should be interesting what happens if that's true.

 

I would bet on something related to Apollo 8. The only Apollo 8 reference at Basel 2018 was the Skeleton DSOTM with the racing strap and yellow accents, which is not a LE...seems to have left a pretty tempting gap for a more "traditional" Speedy Apollo 8 LE this year.

I do wonder how many on the forum are now going to start setting very early wake up call / alarms for Tuesday GMT morning

I was expecting/hoping to see Ultraman II at Basilworld this year. But a new Ultraman ST would certainly be sweet!

I couldn’t get any more info but Apollo 8 it isn’t, I was a bit lost in translation but I thought he mentioned the Apollo 8 only with the upcoming black & yellow one which will arrive in September.

Unfortunately I didn’t make any notes and after visiting the Villa E1027 from Eileen Gray most of the stuff is gone from memory.

I like the original ultraman, but don’t quite get why everybody wants a new version. It will just be a normal Speedmaster with an orange hand which will be available to everyone. Another hype cash cow that they are milking, unlike the original ST which was original on its own. But to each their own

 

I just hope they don't do the same thing as last time and put up an online preorder when North America is sleeping.

I hope there is another one. I'm supposed to be first inline with a chance for one according to Omega and I'm sure it can only be better than this year's releases.

 

Ok guys, just got off the phone with my OB in Bellevue WA. There is a new ST coming out in July, according to them. It will be revealed any day in July, and I was told to watch not only the wedsite, but their social media as well. No details on design.

 

Well if there is one, and it is released using the same model as last time the boutiques won't get a look in so any info or promises from them is hugely suspect. I do believe they will try another on-line release, will it have anything to do with the current Speedy Tuesday? IMO no.

 

Yes, they told me this. All they know is it’s coming July and no details on design. Order online, delivered to them for client pick up.

 

@Robert-Jan, I will cheekily ask what I imagine several on the OF would want to ask...are you involved in this new 2018 ST?

No expectations or desire for any additional information, I am just curious if Omega asked you for input on this new version.

IMO Fratello involvement would be excellent as you and your team were excellent design curators for the first Speedy Tuesday

 

Yes he is involved, as he mentioned such on the #ST Facebook page about a month ago.
