The ladies versions of Speedmasters in the past were not that great but they seem to be trying to improve them, thankfully they're not using the piggyback movement anymore in favour of what looks like Calibre 3330 and the bezel is better too as they used to replace the tachy entirely with a row of diamonds which rendered the watch a bit less useful and frankly looked odd, but this way they keep both for a bit more balance and practicality.

Looks like the 38mm case would be a bit too big for the ladies. Omega is trying to come up with unisex speedy. However, I don't know how male watch enthusiasts are going to take the diamond encrustation.

38 isn't too bad for a ladies piece, my sister in law wears a Rolex Daytona which is around 39mm and many ladies like what are traditionally called mens sports models but are more unisex in size.

I think they've missed a trick with the diamonds TBH. It's a bit like making it pink because, you know, ladies like pink...

Apart from that and the date wheel it's quite a nice little watch. I like the two tone and cappuccino vibe.

I particularly dislike the oval outline on the sub - registers. IMHO it clashes awkwardly with with the round face / dial.

I'm usually a fan of having a date window. In this one, it looks brutally tossed in at the end. Talk about breaking up any hopes of symmetry on that dial!

Confirming-- some ladies like pink. (See the glasses on my avatar). But some don't care for diamonds on a watch.

Just bought my sister the 38mm Rose gold Apple Watch Series 2 with pink strap for her birthday, so I can confirm this.

    With all due respect.... yuck!!!

No, my "pink" chronograph if I could ever afford one would be the beautiful vintage one @michael e was Selling a while back...marked "Federation Aeronautique Internationale" I believe.
with some pink details on the registers. That was a true beauty.
Michael do you atill have pics of that one? I lost track of it.

I agree. I like the color, the 38mm size, but dislike the diamonds, the awful date aperture. I could live with the two-tone though.

38mm is perfect for ladies. My GF forbids me to sell my 39mm Speedmaster Yemen as it fits her tiny wrist when I swap to a small sized strap. Looks good on her too.

They used to make 37mm ladies models using the 3313 movement which looked OK. My worry with using the 3330 or any modern in house Omega movement will be the case thickness. The 3313s were about 14mm. I bet this is nearer 16-17mm.

Don't forget that the 860 series movements as per the Moonwatch can actually fit a case as small as 34mm wife! (Chronostop Geneve)

I always find it interesting that the 3313 was in the largest watch Omega made as well as one of the smallest at one point. The 1st gen Planet Ocean Chrono has them in it at 45.5mm.

The date window, the diamonds, the two-tone, the size.... it couldn't be much further from how I would have done it, if I somehow had that magic power.
