New Speedmaster Crown - Winding Rollback

    Does anyone know if it is normal for the crown of a new speedie to roll backwards slightly as you are winding it? I've handled speedie's before, but this is new for me.

    Can confirm that this happens on my brand new Speedmaster '57. I believe it to be normal and not an indication of a problem.

    Yes, It's quite normal and nothing to worry about.

    yep, seems to be related to the o-ring used with the crown, and not anything related to the main spring. normal.

    Yes, it sure is. Especially, if your Speedmaster is brand new. You can expect not only the behavior you described above, but for the crown to feel tight in general.
