With new to new watches the honeymoon phase lasts seven to fourteen days. Then I go back into the rotation phase. Switching watches several times per week. I just can't find one daily wear watch. I admire those that can be satisfied with wearing just one watch
The day I receive a watch (or the day after, if it needs a new strap) I ooh and ahh over it, then into the rotation it goes. That way, the next time I wear it, the oohing and ahhing begins again!
You know you can have two at once, right? There is a thread with Buzz illustrating that. Did you ask your newlywed watch if she is 'open' to that? Please note having a second one on the opposite wrist is definitely cheating though -- it is an obvious attempt to hide it from the other.
Anywhere from a nanosecond to a day or two. I have sold watches the same day recieved if they didn't immediately please me on the wrist. For me, watches don't "grow on you". On the other hand, sometimes familiarity does breed contempt, and if that is the case, out they go. But, in the (rather large) middle ground of keepers, even the most brilliant new arrivals must give way to the others quickly, lest they rebel.
I bought a safe to see if I had my collection at home, would it slow down my acquisition pace. The answer is TBD . I am now " honeymooning" or "shopping" my collection. So I'm sorta kinda slowing down despite placing another RGM order.
