Hi All,

New to the forum but wanted to share my first experience of buying my first Omega watch.

I’ve been a long time watcher of the Planet Oceans and my wife decided to treat me to a watch for our 25th Wedding Anniversary so off we went to an Omega Boutique to try on some PO watches.

Now I had already done some research on costs buying from the UK compared to overseas and as we were due to see family in Switzerland I decided to benchmark the cost of buying in our visit and claiming tax back vs. the UK. So armed with a cost in mind and a watch I had settled on negotiations began and I managed to get an 11% discount off MSRP plus they gifted us a bottle of Bollinger as well for us to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary.

The whole experience was great, the Sales Assistant and Manager were not pushy and the whole transaction was nice and smooth. To top it off I managed to get one of the newer boxes with the internal “travel box” and also one of the service sunglasses style of boxes so I can use that when travelling.

My watch is the Planet Ocean 8900 215.30.44.21.01.001

An awesome watch. I own its predecessor (8500) and love it to bits. Congratulations on your anniversary.

Congratulations and welcome, and also congratulations on your 25th (ours is next week)...

two quick, no judgy, observations -

1. Watch on a touch tight? ~ looks constrictive, perhaps let out a click or two on the micro-adjust and refer to #2↓

2. Watch on a touch too low? ~ looks like that crown is gonna bite ya on the back of the hand, maybe try it above your ulnar bone and see what you think?

the shop got it just right for me..took a few attempts but got it just how I like it, I wear my watches low on my wrist but not too loose and this is a touch tighter than I’d like but love the slight adjustments you can make.

Congratulations on the new PO. You will find that the micro-adjustment bracelet makes the watch even better. Coming up on my POs first anniversary. Spent this past Saturday at the Historic Motor Races in Atlanta, GA and the adjustments were great being outside all day. Great photo.
