I just picked this up from the original owners son. The watch was purchased in 1956 by his mother to her husband as a wedding gift. It was passed on to the son who sold it to me. He said the watch was serviced by Shane Ede in recent past. I’m going to be looking for a new strap which should be fun. I’ve included photos. Hopefully I can get honest opinions on this piece. Also, how much are these going for nowadays with the waffle crosshair dial? Thanks

Absolutely love these, and kicking myself for not picking one up earlier in the year (eBay, from Japan, cheap). The straight edge means straps look particularly good with no 'gap'. Congrats!

That piece is begging for a nice bracelet. Sad that son didn't care enough about his family, but lucky for you.

Lol it does look a bit off and different in the photo. I’ll have a dermatologist look at it for extra measure. Thanks

I did a search and I think you do not have the original caseback. The CK 14360 appears to be a Seamaster Chronograph with a caliber 321 movement. As your movement is a 354 bumper, that also implies to be the caseback is wrong as that reference number is lots more new than the movement.

Decent watch otherwise, though.

Caseback shows 14350. I’m pretty sure that’s a 5 and not 6

Ah, so it is! Comes up in the vintage database but without picture, alas. They also say it came with a leather strap.

It’s apparently not unusual for the number 5 in the case back to look very similar to a 6 with only a tiny gap in the circle. When I bought my last 2577 I thought it was a 2677, judging by a quick glance on the caseback picture the seller provided (a ref which doesn’t even exist, of course):
