image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg King of Prussia, Pennsylvania Omega Boutique is hosting new Basel pieces for display only. The majority of the pictures are of the blue stainless planet ocean 43.5mm the inner markers on the bezel are a little different, number hour markers have a different font, the case back has scalloped edges. Overall very impressed. I had a tight cuffed shirt and the crown did not dig in my skin.

The gray chrono version is titanium. Very cool too. Nothing negative from yesterday.

Isn't one of the big improvement the bracelet integration into the lugs? I think it reduces the impact of the large case by not extending the bracelet over the lugs. Picture 1 sows this nicely.

The GM had me feel the bezel. Running your finger on it and nothing but your nail you can tell. So I am not an expert but inspecting snd feeling that leads me to believe it's strong.both models wear well

Wow. The 43.5 looks way bigger than the 42.5 in the side by side pic

Not a fan of the new hour marker font. Otherwise, still a good looking watch.

Great shots, thanks for sharing. I just wish Omega would start focusing on making their watches thinner. I love the look of the PO but unfortunately have slimmer wrists and would never be able to wear even the original 2500 PO, let alone the hockey puck POs.

I am loving the grey Ti POC. I could see that making its way into my collection.

    Hockey POcks. :p

It's the dual barrel plus the 3 level Co-axial escapement that makes the 8500 so thick. The AT is a little thicker than most others in it's class.

Personally I think the older 8500 was better looking. I don't know the new look.

Every time I'm about to stop being lazy and sell my 2500 PO I see pictures of how stupidly thick the new versions are and I hold off.

Am I the only one who thinks it's an a-hole move by Omega to make the case back so it can only be opened with their special tool?

They're beautiful but they're a little much in thickness and size.

Not a big fan of the new font unfortunately. Really wanted to like them but somehow it doesn't quite work for me

The new planet ocean or ever the older 8500 or 9300 are very thick. Also omega keep changing their movement so it makes me not even consider their inhouse movement any more. The speedmaster pro is the only omega to buy in my opinion. I love how Rolex stay true to there roots and basically never change their movements or look. And it's easy to service by any watch maker.

I'm not sure you're up to speed on Rolex. They just released a new movement, two new Daytona's, a new air-king and a slew of new Datejust models.
