Would you rather get the Planet Ocean 42mm and the AquaTerra 41.5mm both new or a used LE Spectre Seamaster 300?

I'm curious as to everyone's opinion. I've been going round and round on this one.

Tough call. The Spectre 300 is amazing. If you where looking at a 2500 PO at 42mm and not an 8500 I'd go that way. But those choices... what other watches do you own? What holes are in your collection?

I've recently been enamored with the Aqua Terra. Classic good looks.

Wait your post says the AT AND THE PO or the ST?

2 great watches or 1 great watch? I'd go with 2!!

If only one then the AT, which is the only one I have left of those 3. I had several PO and love them but just for kicks and something different I would give the SM a run. Maybe wearing it I would end up loving it. To date, it's a model i love in pictures but never quite seem to love on the wrist.

Yes, that's right two watches. The price of a used LE Spectre Seamaster 300 is at the point that it cost more or just the same as buying both the PO and AT brand new. I have seen the LE Spectre going for $8,650, $9780, and $9,800 used. I love the Spectre version of the SM300, but I can't justify the price. I guess even Daniel Craig wears the normal version of the SM 300. I might head in that direction.

These would be my first watches. So there are lots of holes in my collection. Haha Also, I tried the newer PO on and it fit me quite well. I have bigger wrists, so I'm not worried about the 8500 looking like a hockey puck. I love the matte grey bezel and the brushed bracelet. The 2500 PO is also amazing and I like that it's thinner. If I become wealthy enough I would like to add that one too, just to change it up a bit.

Ultimately, I would like to own the AT 41.5mm, PO 8500 and the Spectre SM300. I just didn't know where to start or if getting a used Spectre was worth passing on a brand new AT and PO. I think I'm leaning towards the normal version of the SM300 now anyway, because I can't justify the asking price for a used Spectre. This makes it more realistic to own all three someday.

Also, this always makes me want to wear the PO 8500. Omega's marketing team got me.

I've decided to go with the PO 8500 and the AT and then get the normal Seamaster 300 when I'm ready to add a new watch to my collection. Thanks everyone for the advice. It helped a lot!

There was no option for a bad decision. The best decision is to buy all. ;)

In my opinion it blows the SM 300 out of the water

The aqua terra and PO would give you a great pair to cover all situations. I vote go for the two!

Get a standard SM300 and buy the Spectre LE lollipop hand and mod it and then one of the ATs as well.

    Win win :)

Yeah, that crossed my mine. Im working my way up to all three watches. Im starting with the PO8500 42mm and then the aqua terra and the sm300. All three will be worth more than my car. Haha

A used modern Omega watch can look like new (and work the same) . I'm not a rich person and I prefer to buy all my watches used or online not from an Omega dealer.
    Spectre...

Good decision! The PO 8500 appeared in Skyfall and the AT 41.5 appeared in Spectre. 2 movies are better than 1.
