I'd like to echo the facepalm. Don't want one anymore.... http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/new-constellation-pie-pan-dial-full-pic-here-792101.html I put this in vintage by accident, but it probably works here as well...
O M G. Are the Swiss really that inept to snatch failure out of nowhere ? This is what their research tells them? I feel a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of Piepans suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
This is like wearing a paisley tie with a plaid shirt. Two dominant designs do not belong together. That case needs a plain dome dial, and that dial belongs in a more standard case style. To say I'm thoroughly disappointed is an understatement. However, there's one good thing to come of this - I just saved what will probably be at least $10,000 which is what would have most likely been the minimum necessary to purchase that watch.
Not really ugly.........but certainly not pretty either. If they don't want to create a new case for the pie pan, why don't they just use Deville Prestige case? Somebody must tell Bienne.........
How can you nail the dial so perfectly and then flop the case... dear god. This belonged in a 2852 style case.... this is just awful How could they fail so miserably....
Dennis said it best, and I agree. I sure don't lust after this Franken Bizarro Connie. The products coming out of Souh America look better than this monstrosity. This disappointment as saved me some $$$ though!
Dennis has it right. Way too much going on with that dial and case. WTH? Leave it to Omega to have a great idea bringing back that dial, only to shit the bed with it.......
