Congratulations! My Speedmaster was the first high end Omega I ever purchased. Still one of my favorite watches! Since you have impeccable taste, may I suggest spending a little more and obtaining a genuine Omega Nato strap. They are ridiculously expensive and perhaps, at least to some, a rip off. However, I think they are worth every cent. I almost exclusively were mine on one of my many genuine Omega Nato straps. Just a suggestion/recommendation.

Get ready to enjoy a lifetime of appreciation for your Speedy. I smile every time I wind mine.

On my Orange Nato. Don’t you just love the warm glow of the hesalite crystal? Makes my day whenever I catch that glow!

I know how you feel. I got my first Omega (and luxury watch) a week ago. I'm still riding that high feeling!

You have a nice timepiece there. Take good care of it and enjoy it everyday! +1 on getting official Omega Nato straps for it. Nothing quite like having the real deal for the real deal, ya feel?

A true classic. I bought a new (2019) Speedmaster that I wear daily to save my couple of ‘special’ Speedmasters from any possible damage. The new one still brings me joy everyday, it doesn’t always need to be rare to put a smile on your face!

Not to go against the general OF love for genuine omega NATO’s but I don’t think you can beat a classic off the shelf nylon nato. The omega ones (I have several) are thick in comparison and cause the watch to wear quite high, at least for me!

Congrats and welcome to the speedmaster club!
Nato strap could be great (if good quality and thickness) or very bad (cheap one selling in various ecommerce).
I think that Omega ones are a little bit overpriced, but you know they hold Omega brand!
For classic strap a good provider is Hodinkee, expensive ones btw 😉

Congrats! Looks great on that strap. New first time luxury watch owner here as well and I know how you're feeling. I may not be sleeping in mine but that's about the only time I've taken it off since I got it a few days ago. I know my wife is eventually going to get sick of me staring at it while she's talking to me and not making eye contact. 😁

Congratulations! Awesome watch and welcome to the club.
As a fan of NATO straps, I’d suggest a leather NATO... maybe in black or cordovan
